DK passed the compliance audit for the Bilan Carbone®
The only solution compliant with the carbon footprint and GHG protocol methodology
Rennes, 16 October 2024. DK, the carbon measurement and management solution for off-line and on-lien campaigns, has obtained Bilan Carbone® compliance for its platform. Following the audit of its platform by Ademe and the Association pour la Transition Bas Carbone (ABC), DK has been declared compliant with the requirements of the Bilan Carbone® methodology, underlining its commitment to high-quality carbon accounting solutions.
This official recognition confirms that the platform complies with the rigorous Bilan Carbone® standards, guaranteeing its users a reliable tool for their low-carbon initiatives.
The figures provided by DK solutions can therefore be directly aggregated into corporate carbon footprints analysis. This saves brands, agencies, media sales houses and publishers precious time, without having to re-audit them as part of the onging environmental and regulatory procedures in France and Europe.
The ‘Bilan Carbone Conforme’ audit carried out by ABC focused in particular on the following points:
->Methodological compliance and accuracy: assessment of the suitability of the emission factors used for the communication and advertising sector, in addition to the market benchmarks.
->Bilan Carbone® approach: validation that the platform fully integrates the Bilan Carbone® approach, including analysis of the life cycle of advertising and raising customer awareness of environmental issues.
->Support in reducing emissions: as well as providing eco-tips to reduce emissions from marketing and communication initiatives, DK guides its customers on a daily basis in their low-carbon management.
->A reinforced guarantee of quality and rigour, enabling us to provide a carbon measurement that can be directly integrated into corporate carbon audits. This Bilan Carbone® compliance means that DK's clients can use the carbon data supplied by DK as part of their corporate carbon footprint without having to re-audit the data provided.
‘We are extremely proud of this recognition by the ABC. It reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the most comprehensive and standardised carbon measurement possible to our customers. This enables our customers to strengthen their environmental responsibility strategy while meeting regulatory requirements for CO2 emissions reporting.’

With carbon accounting becoming increasingly prevalent in France and Europe, it is essential for organizations to have a reliable methodology to make informed decisions and commit to a low-carbon transition.
This is why, in 2014, ABC established an audit to assess the compliance of carbon accounting tools with the Bilan Carbone® method, which was created three years earlier.
The purpose of this audit procedure is to contribute to the improvement and methodological robustness of carbon accounting tools available on the market. As a result, organizations and all actors involved in the low-carbon transition can benefit from tools that are at least equivalent to the Bilan Carbone® / GHG Protocol standard.
💡 Note: Compliance with the Bilan Carbone® method ensures that, with equal data, the results obtained using the candidate tool are similar to those that would be achieved with the Bilan Carbone® spreadsheets and GHG Protocol.
